Hammer Time
I have been commenting on other blogs for a long time that the twenty-ish moron over at Stripper by Night is a stupid know-it-all cunt. Most online poker nerds are taken by the fact that she has been a stripper, and therefore overlook the fact that she has no idea what she is talking about.
For me it started when she began criticizing Felicia Lee, who is very critical but writes one of the most useful blogs in the poker community. This is a person that actually FIGHTS for the rights of poker players not to get ripped off by ridiculous vigs/rakes and unfair (sometimes borderline ILLEGAL) decisions by Poker Room Managers/Tournament Directors. And this dumb ass sex-industry worker has the gall to ridicule her. If she was REALLY a professional poker player, she would comprehend that some of the issues that Felicia deals with are extremely serious.
Now this dumb bitch that goes by the name Taylor has outed herself by calling ALL OTHER BLOGGERS "stupid" for playing 72.
Talk about not getting it.
She calls herself a "professional" poker player, but limited herself to playing 5 person tournaments where 3 people get paid. You actually LOSE money for finishing in third place in these tournaments. I'll go out on a limb and say you will NEVER be considered a decent professional poker player if you make all your money playing these crap-shoot garbage tournaments.
She is TOTALLY unable to grasp the concepts of playing less than ideal starting hands. She has never developed past the stage of poker development where "tighter is ALWAYS better." Anyone who thinks they can always behave in the same way and be successful in the real world of poker is obviously ignorant to the point of idiocy. Maybe when she grows up a little and gets past that "know-it-all" stage in her twenties, she will read back on this and realize what a stupid CHILD she really was.

Wow, jeez! Did I promise to pay you for sticking up for me in some other life? LOL.
There are so many things I could say, yanno. But I think I'm going to take the high road on this one.
Would it be inappropriate to post my Hammer Time shirt link on Taylor's blog?
Bing! You win for post of the week, no contest. You've just written what almost everybody else wanted to.
I have so much more that I could write on this, but I'll leave it alone. The floodgates are now open. =)
Also, I'm sitting here hitting refresh and watching your hit count skyrocket. It's a wonderful thing.
What's that?
No, I don't have much going on at work today. Why do you ask?
Couldn't agree with you more Dug. Well done.
Succinctly put, Doug. 8^)
My only stupid move was linking her up on my blog.
I don't think people read her blog looking for actual poker tips or pearls of wisdom. And if they do... I feel sorry for them.
Well said. I'm glad someone verbalized what many of us were thinking. I applaud you for your efforts.
And to this day I feel bad that I wimped out and never stuck up for Felicia. I stayed out of the line of fire when Talyor ripped Felicia repeatedly on her blog. I decided that saying something in a formal post would be giving her more attention than she deserves.
If anything, I owe Felicia an apology for not sticking up for her. I'm sorry Felicia!
I will still recklessly play the Hammer. But what do I know anyway? I'm a not a professional poker player.
I missed this business with Felicia, but I'm sure once I finally get caught up I'll be removing the strippers link. Great post. This is another blog I seemed to have missed for way to long...that mistake is now rectified.
so true. great post.
It is sad when someone's sarcasm meter doesn't go off. This chick takes herself way too seriously.
Rule #1 of a poker player should be: If you can't play the hammer and laugh, don't play at all.
Sure we're all in it to make some money, but poker is also a social/fun game at times. Anyone can peddle the nuts day in day out but where's the challenge in that?
Please guys, and especially Pauly, don't even think twice about me. I know I have a big mouth, I know I dish out a lot of crap, but I can also take a lot, too. I'm no hypocrite, I invite trouble to my doorstep often, so I need to be able to handle it when it rings the bell.
No one needed to stick up for me, really. Anyone with half a brain could read through the lines of her journal and know they were dealing with a fraud.
But thanks for all of the kind comments!
Gutsiest blog post I've ever seen, stick your neck out there to defend not only a fellow blogger but the integrity of the game we all love. Kudos! Sorry I didn't find your blog sooner - I shall not miss another post, as you are now blogline'd!
Good Post Man! I like it.
And Felicia: If we want to stick up for a really nice person we can and you cannot stop us!
