Fucking Comment Spam

Does the wavy word thing really deter comment spam?

I just got POUNDED with comments in old posts from someone with like 12 accounts who is trying to boost his search engine scores about ACDC....what a fucktard.

Will the wavy word thing slow that fucker down, or am I just wasting my time?

UPDATE:
AHA! I dug out all of that fucker's comments and deleted them. He's not getting any search power out of this site. Too bad for him I have time at work today to do this kind of thing.

HA! I already read your post making fun of GCOX, and I already have four-hour erections, thankyouverymuch!

Use the wavy word thing (as I see you've done) - it helps. Now, automated software can't post batches of spam messages. You'd have to have a very determined spammer who sat there and manually input comments and wavy words for each message, which is not likely :)

I hate the wavy word thing. With SOME of the fonts blogger uses I can not tell what the hell the letters are and just give up.

I agree Sirf, it is tough to tell the i's and j's apart on some fonts. Fortunately you can just hit submit and get another chance with a new set of letters and a new font.

Mondays are really bad for me gary, since I have to work at 5:30 am the next day. I'm up for any Friday/Saturday games you know about, but my weekday nights are shot. I can't even stay up late enough to play with bloggers online, usually. And yes I am posting this at 6am on Saturday morning, from WORK!
